Direct Selling and Network Marketing is an ideal way to start a business of your own. Not only does Network Marketing work but it is positively being promoted in the United States by politicians, including a former President of the United States, as a legitimate way of earning money and helping people and the country get out of recession.
In the USA the latest figures for 2008 show that 93.8% of the direct selling companies are multi level (network marketing) companies making 96.3% of the sales. Of these 85.3% are one person businesses and 13.3% two person businesses. 91.1% of direct selling and network marketing companies are worked part time of less than 30 hours per week with 86.4% being female and 13.6% male. Overall 71.8% of the businesses were home based.
Direct sales in the USA for 2008 accounted for $29.60 Billion with 15 million individuals involved as Representatives.
There are now 67 million people world wide involved with direct sales doing business in 125 countries. Amazingly there are reportedly also 100,000 direct sales people in Russia and 600,000 in China.
Worldwide direct sales are reported as $110 Billion with $104 billion being attributable to the Network Marketing business model.
Annual sales in the UK exceed £2 billion. Using the Network Marketing business model means that people can be secure in their business building residual income and getting paid month after month.
Public attitude surveys show that direct selling remains a vibrant marketing method with considerable loyalty amongst its Representatives and Customers. One of the attractions is the very low start up costs compared to a conventional business involving premises, buying vast amounts of stock, staffing etc. One of the other benefits is the ability to earn unlimited income. It is an opportunity for men, women and couples of all walks of life and social standing or ethnic groups to improve their lives. It is a business that is entirely flexible in hours and can be fitted in with family or other work or social commitments.
